Product Description

The Eglu Go is the simple, stylish, straightforward way to start keeping chickens. It is designed for you to keep up to three medium chickens and they will be very happy and healthy in their new home. The Eglu Go comes complete with everything you need to get started. It has plastic roosting bars and a discreet nesting area which can be filled with straw or shredded paper. You can collect freshly laid eggs through the door at the back of the house. Easy to Clean - The Eglu Go has one large door at the back which allows easy access to the roosting bars, nesting area and droppings tray. Simply slide the droppings tray our, empty into the compost bin and rinse with a hose. Insulation - The twin walled insulation and draught free ventilation keeps your chickens warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The Run - Made from strong steel weld mesh impossible for predators to break. A unique anti-tunnel skirt sits flat on the ground and prevents animals from digging in. You can safely leave your hens in the run with the door to their house open if you are not in. Run Door - The new run design allows you to position the run door on the side as well as on the end. This is handy if you want to fit the Eglu Go into a spot where access to the end is difficult. Feeders and Drinkers - These new food and water containers are specially designed to attach to the run and they hold enough food and water to last three chickens two days. Interchangeable Style Packs - You don't have to buy a new Eglu Go when you fancy a change of style, simply pop the coloured panels off and replace them with a new colour. Different coloured style packs will be available regularly so keep an eye out.

3Not raccoon proof
By helene c bradley
I own the original eglu, which is more round than new version. Insulation is good. Chickens are warm in cold winter months. They survived -10 c in Vancouver Canada.
The run is good. I watched coyotes digging. They gave up. However, the egg door is no good and raccoons can open it. Thus all chickens dead. I had to use the handy man's secret weapon of duck tape to close it. Then remove entire lid to get eggs. After time the small metal latch broke. Yank pull everyday will break it. It is easy to move around yard. poop tray is convenient and easy to clean. So conclusion. Fix the damn egg door. They Should give me a new modern eglu for free. Will they? I doubt it. So, until that is fixed. DON'T BUY IT! if you have raccoons in your neck of the woods.

5Eglu Cube
By C. G. King
Although the product shown is the Eglu Go, I ultimately decided to go with the bigger Eglu Cube, which accommodates more chickens and is up off the ground. The reason I'm writing a review here to let folks know that the quality of these products is great and the customer service is outstanding as well. The folks are in England where chicken keeping in the 'garden' is popular and they know their stuff. I live on a tiny farm and wanted to have fresh eggs for my family, plus a way to confine the hens and also move their house regularly so they always have fresh grass to nibble on. I wasn't up to building a wooden structure and went exploring on the internet where I found the Omlet products. Although you can get the house separately to put in your own enclosure, most come with an attached secure wire run that is very sturdy and protective.

Although the boxes containing the house parts for the Cube had to be sent via bus instead of UPS as this one is and were very barked up, all the parts were there and in good shape. I assembled the unit by myself with no trouble as the directions are very clear and now my chickens are happily at home in their house.

The products are designed to be easy to clean and care for and secure from predators and I've found that to be true. It takes no time to clean the newspaper lined slide out tray and dump the remains in my compost bin, plus the whole house can be hosed off as needed. As I'm completely inexperienced at chicken keeping, I also value the information included in the booklet that comes with the house and on the Omlet website. So far so good here in Va. Even the bigger, heavier house is easy to move and the feed and water containers hold plenty so I don't have to attend to the chickens every day except to retrieve eggs. The hens are quiet, safe and content.

I am very happy with my purchase and this vendor and recommend their products--and of course, the fresh eggs are wonderful!

5chicken coop
By kristopher
I decided to buy this coop because I decided the cost would be comparable to the time and money I would have to invest into building a coop of my own (which I've done in the past at a previous house.)

I couldn't be happier with it.

Pros:
-It cleans easy (I keep a large plastic Rubbermaid container with wood shavings that are replaced weekly to keep the poop from sticking to the plastic.)
-The double layered shell of the coop keeps the chickens warm and properly ventilated (I've never had to add additional heat during our coldest WI winters.)
-Robust and simple food and water bowls. (The bowls have held up when I need to knock out the small amount of water that freezes through the night before I refill the morning after.) (Also, it may seem like a pain to water the chickens everyday, but it isn't since I'm going out to collect the eggs everyday anyways. I keep a small watering can under my sink that I use to refill their water with)

Cons:
-A small flap of some sort could be installed over the handle that opens the coop door to prevent snow and ice accumulating.
